Deutz-Fahr 5 DS/DV/DF

The 5DF, 5DS, and 5DV Series is powered by advanced 3 and 4-cylinder FARMotion Stage V engines delivering outstanding performance, fuel efficiency, and productivity. Common Rail fuel injection up to 2000 bar, 7-hole injectors, an electronically controlled viscostatic fan, and a PowerCore air filter maximise power while reducing fuel consumption. A compact emissions system incorporating EGR, DOC, DPF, and SCR maintains the tractor’s slim bonnet design for excellent forward visibility and steering angle. With outputs of up to 116 HP, the latest FARMotion engines provide increased torque, responsive performance, and reliable operation in demanding specialist applications.

The modular transmission range offers outstanding versatility, from a fully synchronised 12F/12R gearbox through to a 45F/45R transmission with three-speed Powershift. Features including an electrohydraulic PowerShuttle with adjustable modulation, ComfortClutch, and Stop&Go improve comfort and productivity by enabling smooth clutch-free direction changes, gear shifts, and starts. A 40 km/h transport speed is achieved at economical engine revs, while the standard super-creeper gear allows travel speeds as low as 200 metres per hour for precision applications. The result is a highly efficient transmission suited to demanding specialist farming tasks.

The PTO system offers exceptional versatility with standard 540 and 540 ECO speeds, plus optional 1000 rpm and ground-speed PTO configurations. Operators can choose fixed or interchangeable PTO shafts, along with mechanical or electrohydraulic engagement for smooth, reliable operation. Convenient rear mudguard controls simplify implement operation, while Auto PTO automatically engages or disengages the PTO based on rear linkage position. An optional 1000 rpm front PTO further expands versatility. Combined with Deutz-Fahr’s intuitive colour-coded controls, the system delivers simple, precise, and efficient operation across a wide range of specialist farming applications.

Features a powerful hydraulic system with up to 68 l/min flow for the linkage and auxiliary valves, plus a dedicated steering pump delivering 20 or 40 l/min for smooth steering under all conditions. Up to three rear hydraulic valves with flow control and free return are available, along with belly-mounted hydraulic connections for specialist implements. The electronic rear linkage offers lift capacities of up to 3,940 kg with standard ride control, while an optional 1,500 kg front linkage and hydraulic stabilisers provide even greater versatility and performance.

Equipped with an advanced hydropneumatic independent front suspension system that automatically adapts damping to ground speed and steering angle for exceptional comfort and stability. Standard Anti-dive and Anti-roll functions improve braking performance, reduce body roll, and enhance operator confidence. The DTC traction system automatically transfers torque to the wheel with the greatest grip for maximum traction. Genuine four-wheel wet disc braking, electrohydraulic four-wheel drive, and differential lock come standard, while optional SDD steering reduces steering wheel turns for faster, easier manoeuvring in confined spaces.

There are three four-post cab configurations, offering excellent comfort, visibility, and ergonomics. A flat floor, adjustable steering wheel, and instrument cluster that moves with the steering column ensure a comfortable driving position for every operator. The right-hand console places key controls within easy reach, with an optional joystick for operating two hydraulic valves simultaneously. The InfoCentre display, USB ports, and smartphone holder improve convenience, while an opening roof, Category 4 filtration, optional LED work lights, and an air suspension seat provide outstanding comfort and safety in specialist applications.
