Power Farming Minimises Down Time

Power Farming’s commitment to minimising contractors’ down time has received a major boost in the South Island.

We have invested an additional $500,000 of parts to hubs in Christchurch and Invercargill, to specifically target the areas where the McHale baler-wrapper combinations, the high-end Kverneland triple mowers and large rakes are working. Our intention is to keep the contractors wheels turning smoothly, by providing same day service with parts immediately available.

Dave Pritchard, Group Parts Manager for Power Farming said, “We have increased the Christchurch and Invercargill stock holding significantly, in support of the regions and the wider South Island. For a critical range of products, during the season, it is our aim to ensure that no one is more than four hours away from the required parts, 24/7. The aim being improved service times and the elimination of the need for parts to be flown in from Morrinsville. We are increasing support, as well as directing it into the areas where the McHale and Kverneland machines are operating.”

Power Farming facilities are located in Morrinsville and Christchurch. These dedicated parts facilities support our dealer network employing around 180 trained technicians. These technicians are available on a 24 hour, 7 days a week basis and are supported by six personnel based at the Head Office, who offer over 150 years of combined knowledge and experience.

The Group's full product range is supported by a strong team of technical service managers, providing service backup and assistance, service training and warranty administration to the dealer network. The commitment to service extends to having several key personnel located in all the major geographical regions so that the company can respond quickly at a local level.

Dave Pritchard rounded up by saying, “We control our own parts inventory across New Zealand, Australia and now the US. There are no outside influences. If it’s the right thing to do, we do it!

“But don’t just take our word for it. Customers are invited to call in to our branches in Invercargill, Christchurch and across the country to see for themselves the commitment Power Farming is providing to quality service backup, for every one of its products.”
