The Australasian farm machinery industry is in for a major shake up as Morrinsville-based Power Farming Machinery takes on the distribution of the McHale range of balers and bale wrappers in New Zealand and Australia.

Power Farming Machinery general manager Graeme Leigh says his company becomes the exclusive importer of McHale products on January 1st. McHale machines will be available through the Power Farming dealer network nation-wide.

“This is very exciting for us. McHale produces heavy duty and extremely reliable machinery that has a strong following in New Zealand.

“Power Farming has a long history of selling round and combination balers. We are very familiar with the market and the technology. We have all the infrastructure in place to back up McHale’s new and existing customers through our spare parts warehouses in Morrinsville and Melbourne.

“We are particularly pleased that McHale has chosen us to represent them at a time when they are launching their new range of variable belt balers and a new table wrapper with twin dispensers,” Graeme Leigh says.

McHale is a family-owned Irish company that has been in business for 30 years. It specialises in the manufacture of high output balers and bale wrappers for silage, hay and straw.

Brothers Padraic and Martin McHale head the company. As lead engineer Padraic has helped develop its key products.

McHale operates two state-of-the-art manufacturing plants, one in Ireland and the other in Hungary. All McHale equipment is built to ISO 9001 standards using strict quality checks. Every machine is tested, run and calibrated before it leaves the factory.

During the design and development phase all McHale machines go through rigorous trials with high-end users. These include New Zealand farmers and contractors, and therefore McHale equipment is designed from the ground up to handle our tough conditions.

Graeme Leigh says its Fusion II combination baler-wrappers helped McHale build its strong reputation among Kiwi contractors because of their reliability and ease of use.

“From December 1st we will be demonstrating McHale’s new V660 variable chamber baler and 991T table wrapper. We have demonstration models on both the North and South Islands so anyone who is interested will have plenty of opportunity to see them in action.

Graeme Leigh says McHale has more new products in the pipeline, and he is pleased to be able to work with the company to develop and deliver high quality equipment to NZ contractors and farmers.

For a demonstration of the new McHale V660 belt baler or 991T table wrapper contact your nearest Power Farming retailer or call 07 902 2200.
