The Maschio company was born in 1964 thanks to the insight and commitment of the Maschio brothers, Egidio and Giorgio.
Today Maschio is a world leader in the agricultural machinery manufacturing sector where it operates under 4 brand names; Maschio SpA, Gaspardo Seminatrici SpA, Terranova SpA and Grinta srl.
In 1994 the Maschio brothers bought Gaspardo Seminatrici SPA. A historic company with an important name, thanks to the products that for generations have stood for absolute security and reliability. Gaspardo is now a major construction company specialising in the manufacturing of seed drills.
Today, after more than 170 years, Gaspardo Seminatrici SPA is the leading Italian manufacturer of seeders, and is considered one of the most important companies in the world in this sector. Gaspardo Seminatrici creates Vacuum precision planters for cereals and vegetables,
seed drills for cereals, seed drills and vacuum planters for direct sedding and row-crop cultivators. They also make finger- blade mowers, seedbed preparers, combined seedbed preparers, rippers and disc harrows.
In 2003 Gaspardo manufactured over 10,000 individual machines, but has far greater production potential. There are more than 70 machines in its model range.
Gaspardo Seminatrici exports all over the world: 60% of its products are sold on overseas markets.
Gaspardo has a wide range of free standing piggyback and direct drills to suit many different soil types and applications for the New Zealand environment.
